We have recorded a number of songs so far and they sound wonderful, we managed great results in Elite Studios in Woodbridge by using what comes naturally to three experienced musicians working together.
The tracks are being made available here on the website as they are mastered.

Debbie and Richard's wedding reception in Ravenswood Hall, Rougham, Bury St Edmunds, December 2009:
"Hello, and a really big thank you for entertaining all of us at Ravenwood last weekend. Loads of lovely compliments were passed on to Richard & myself, and maybe yourselves, and you had a big mention during the speeches by the best man."
We were on our best behaviour but the fun was just as good! Clarissa contrasted the sweetness of her Jupiter alto saxophone with the rich dark silver tones of her 1930's tenor saxophone recently aquired.
Gary switched between acoustic/electric bass guitar and Fender Jazz electric bass in order to highlight the soft woody textures of swing standards with the growling slinky presence intrinsic to modern jazz bass and funk.
Barry continued to develop the Jarrettesque improvisations at the beginning of standards like Autumn Leaves and Night and Day, keeping the audience and band guessing when the melody would begin, building tension and releasing it into syncopated songs of classic genres of the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's.

December at The Anchor, Quayside, Woodbridge. So What, Watermelon Man, Lady Be Good, Stormy Monday, The Feeling's Gone, Fly Me To The Moon, Band of Gold, How Sweet it is to be Loved by You, Baker Street, I Don't Know Why I Didn't Come and other ventures into the world of sound, such as a couple of James Brown numbers, Cold Sweat, a Jaco Pastorius favourite. The Chicken, Weather Report, Birdland and The Pink Panther to highlight the honking smooth sax of Clarissa in her heyday!

The Anchor, Quayside, Woodbridge, said it was our best yet on Thursday 1st October. We played cool jazz into uptight soul, drunken blues and ripped up funk, and that was just the first set!
*******

The 31st July Friday night gig went well with our core supporters turning up for a good time. Beer and Cheese Festival at Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard, New St., Woodbridge, with the Sole Bay Cheese Company (up to 120 cheeses) was good all round fare.
The mood developed in a relaxed intensive manner as Saturday afternoon saw the sweet dulcet tones of Clarissa's alto sax weaving among the harmonic intuitions of Barry's piano work and Gary's tacit enthusiasm for playing the bass.
The Barry Kingston Trio in gentle music mode for diners went so well that Siggy and Adrian have asked us to play Sunday afternoons once monthly in the future.

Thursday 16th July, 2009. Barry Kingston Trio at The Anchor, Quayside, Woodbridge. Many came just for the fine food but found themselves digesting happily and then dancing to the sound of live music played by the band while enjoying a pint of fine real ale and lashings of wine.

Woodbridge Regatta. Sunday July 12th, 2009. Barry Kingston Trio played in the garden of The Tea Hut, nr. Deben Sailing Club. Tea, coffee, snacks, cakes, baked potatoes and ciabattas. Beer tent. Lots of entertainment around the river front. A lovely sunny afternoon with beer tent giving the band Old Speckled Hen and red wine but managing to not detract from the serious business of music making. A great day at the Tea Hut.
